The journal collects papers and reports on the researches sponsored by the National Volcanic Group of 

Italy and original papers covering all research aspects of volcanology, which should comprise previously unpublished data, interpretation or syntheses of volcanological interest. Furthermore, annexes with information on the activity recorded along the year at Italian active volcanoes and special issues on specific themes are also issued. The Journal is financially supported by CNR Italy.
